Georgia Tech brings together a comprehensive research enterprise that spans the full quantum ecosystem, from fundamental discovery to deployable systems and applications. Scientists develop and model new quantum building blocks; engineers design new enabling components like integrated photonics and microelectronics; electrical engineers and computer scientists develop architectures, algorithms, and programming languages; and systems engineers address application complexities and supply chain requirements. Georgia Tech's applied research arm, the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI), integrates these research thrusts across the stack and prototypes devices and systems. Together with world-class laboratories, user facilities, and education/workforce development programs, this full-stack approach enables Georgia Tech to partner with industry and government to move quantum innovations from discovery toward deployable technologies and real-world applications.
